2.1 Production list

Next to the exact real width, height and length (no over-dimensions possible) the exact geometry of the components due to cuts, drillings,... is getting considered and used to compare the individual components.

As an example drillings for MEP installation in one off two otherwise identical components leads to two different position numbers.

Two rafters of the same length joining into the hip/valley rafter on opposite sides getting two different numbers, as there will be a left and right hand rafter.

Attributes and processes like group, sub group, markings, reference side etc. can be optionally considered as comparing criteria.

Note
The production list number is used for the entire production process. Assignment of production list numbers is a mandatory requirement to be able to export production lists, shop drawings and machine files as well as being able to place beams and panels in nesting volumes.
