1.11 IFC struktur + Layer
BIM (Building Information Modeling) mainly means :
- 3D models instead of 2D plans
- work with the IFC interface instead of dxf
- work with properties instead of hatching and line types
IFC structure:
IFC components have a yellow background and are saved in the IFC structure, which also has a yellow background. Only elements with a yellow background can be included in an IFC export.

Layer:
Elements without IFC type (type IFC "Not defined") have a white background and are placed in layers that also have a white background. By default, these elements are not exported in IFC. To export them, you must activate the option "Export IFC type "not defined"" in the IFC export window "File" → "Export" → "IFC (BIM) (ifc, ifczip)".

IFC components can be placed manually in layers via the "Edit" → "Layer" menu.
