5.2 BCF in cadwork

The BCF Manager can be accessed via Window BCF Manager.

1. BCF data sharing  

In this area, BCF files can be imported or exported "classically". Alternatively, you can connect to a BCF platform (e.g. BIMcollab) and download or upload the content.

2. Filter & Search

The tick boxes here allow to filter according to status of topics. Issues can as well be searched by keywords.

3. Visibility of the elements

Here you can select which elements should appear when a "Viewport" is called up.

  • All:
    All elements shown are displayed, active elements are activated.
  • Visible:
    Only the elements that were visible when they were created are displayed.
  • Active:
    All active elements are displayed when they are created.

4. Overview of existing issues

Listing of all issues according to the filter settings made under point two.

5. Title of the topic

6. Topic viewport

The camera position and the visibility of the elements are saved in the viewport and can therefore be called up again.

7. Topic description area

What type? What is the status? Priority of the problem? Which stage does it affect? Select or create a predefined label.

8. Comment area

Add comments to an existing topic. A screenshot can also be saved in it.

9. Apply changes

Important: These are only transferred to the local file - the entries are not automatically uploaded!

Viewport functions

  1. Display topic/comment view
    Adjusts cadwork display to show 3d model as per viewport
  2. Replace with current model view
    Replaces viewport with current display of cadwork model saving camera position and visibility
  3. Modify with paint
    Allows to modify viewport with Paint to highlight, point out, etc.
  4. Replace with clipboard image
    Allows to add a standard clipboard/snapshot as viewport
  5. Remove current viewport (Only available in comment)
  6. Use topic view (only available in the comment)
    Uses topic viewport for comment viewport
