2.5 Starting cadwork files

General information

Creating new files with cadwork can be done via the cadwork Start application, as already described in the chapter cadwork start application under section Program tab.
Alternatively the following method is recommended to create new cadwork files as it is usually faster and clearer.

  • Starting files via the Windows context menu in any directory
    The easiest way to start cadwork files, as with many other programs, is via the context menu by right-clicking in Windows.
    In Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory in which the new file is to be created/saved and right-click in the free area of the folder. In the menu that appears, you can select the type of file under New.

  • The cadwork Start program will then start. You can enter the file name below. Click OK to create and open a new file based on the selected start template/init file.
    Select the start template as the basis for the new file and enter the file name.
